KI Book Club
What would you all think if we started a KI book club? We could do an online chat "meeting" however often we decide upon, work out how we figure out what books to read, etc. Whatcha think?

Re: KI Book Club
I'd love to, but seeing as it took me a year to finish my last book, I really don't seem to have enough time. Can I decide to join in if my life ever gets less hectic? (i.e. my kids and husband don't follow me into a room while I am reading just to talk to me?)

Re: KI Book Club
I could use some motivation to get my reading in. It seems to be low on my priority list lately even though it's my favorite thing to do. I'm flexible as far as what to read. I can't promise I'll like everything but I promise I'll do my best to keep up. I'd imagine most of us are busy but we can probably squeeze in a little reading each day since we seem to manage a little computer time each day. I feel as if my brain is turning to mush at this point.

Re: KI Book Club
I voted the last option...I'd like to do this, but I already have about a bajillion books I want to read (a few dozen or so I own that fit into that category)...but depending on the book I'll definately see what I can do...

I'm not much on chick books (although I do love a good Judith McNaught romance novel). I figured we could take turns who picks the book and try to pick ones that aren't over anybody's head (somewhere around Dr. Seuss levels HA) and something everybody would enjoy...classic literature or, this sounds odd, classic horror. Some of the best books I've read were Frankenstein, Dr. Jekell & Mr. Hyde (however the heck you spell Jekell). But the classics are great too. How do you all suggest doing it?

Re: KI Book Club
Maybe get a list of options and vote on what to read first. We could start with choosing a genre and then narrow down to a book?

Re: KI Book Club
I just picked option 3....it really just depends on what book you guys pick; if I'm interested, I'll do it, if not, I won't

Re: KI Book Club
I was thinking of suggestion Twilight as the first book? The movie is coming out/is out and it's about vampires. I think most of us are Harry Potter fans so I thought a book series, geared towards that age level, might be good?

Could you BE more non-committal?
Throw in a suggestion, we might actually like to read something you choose.

Twilight sounds good to me. That was on my list to read anyway.

Re: KI Book Club
What we can do is once everybody has voted, and we know who is interested, we can go in user ID alphabetical order that person picks the book? Would you all think to meet in chat once a week? A chapter a week? Whomever picked the book gets to pick how much they want us to read by the "meeting" day? We can meet in the KI chat room on "meeting" days?

Hey, it's a free ebook!
ETA: Preview, not the entire book
